About Uzalo
Uzalo is a popular South African soap opera set in the KwaMashu township near Durban. Produced by Stained Glass Productions, the series premiered on SABC 1 in 2015 and quickly became one of the most-watched TV shows in the country. The initial story of Uzalo follows two families—the religious Mdletshes and the criminal Xulus—who are unknowingly intertwined by a secret. Years prior, their sons were switched at birth, leading one to be raised in a family of Christian values and the other in a crime syndicate.
